Description: This motif is an adaptation of the original Baluch style of tribal carpets, first produced in Afghanistan and then were made in parts of Iran (Persia) too. Axtre has the splattered design of the symbolic Axletree (hence our label) that was an integral part of the convoy of nomads traveling from one place to the other. Unique styled date palms and shrubs in the border provide a high level of intricacy and fine workmanship. The crescendo of artistry is further exemplified with the stylized angel forms that are woven all around the field thereby symbolizing the protective shield God has around human settlements. Favorite nomad colors of brick red as the main tone along with sapphire blue, dull gold and beige heightens the workmanship superbly making it neutral and easy to match with any décor.
Other Features: Wool-on-wool (Wool pile), Herbal wash, eco-friendly, moth proof and dyed wool tassels (fringes).
